In 1989, Jim and Debbie Hayes decided to venture off into a business that they really didn’t know anything about - selling water ski boats. They only knew their love for MasterCraft ski boats fueled their desire to introduce more people to the great drivability and ski ability of MasterCraft.
So in December of 1989, MasterCraft Boats of Arizona, Inc. opened their doors. In a 1300 sq ft building, Jim and Debbie managed and operated everything themselves from sales to service to prepping new boats for delivery. For them, working 6 to 7 days a week and putting in 16 hour days was the norm. “That seems like a long time ago now”, said Debbie. “We now have a total of 11 employees in 15,150 sq feet, and we’re looking for more space.”
MasterCraft of Arizona has built their loyal customer base on outstanding Customer Service. Their customers are number one, and as a result they have been named one of the top 10 dealers for Customer Service with MasterCraft Boat Company for 17 consecutive years! As Jim says, MasterCraft Boats of Arizona’s motto is to “promise a lot and deliver even more”, not only in the sales process, but more importantly, in the service department. Jim and Debbie believe that is why customers return year after year.
In 2006, MasterCraft Boats of Arizona was honored to be named to Boating Industry Magazine’s Top 100 Dealers in the country. This prestigious award was yet another testimony that MasterCraft Boats of Arizona excels above their competitors. In fact, MasterCraft Boats of Arizona is the only boat dealership in Arizona to achieve this recognition.
“We’ve got a great staff and great customers. Our customers aren’t just skiers anymore - they are also wakeboarders and surfers. And we’re still all about fun with friends and families. We plan on delivering for many years to come the promise that has gotten us where we are today. And we’re still having a lot of fun doing it!”
